ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Chela, and I draw comics. I created this website to be the central hub for hosting all of my artwork, since I did not want to rely on external social media platforms to host my stuff for me. This site will be the home of absolutely everything you need to stay up-to-date on my works. Here, you’ll find a continuously growing archive of digital illustrations and comics, as well as some general information about my characters.

I strongly believe in the ideals of the web 1.0 revival, and I encourage all artists to host their works on websites created and run by themselves. Art has value, and as such, posting art on a social media platform creates value for that platform. My question, why should I create value for someone else’s platform when I could be creating value for my own, instead? Perhaps it’s a similar principle that draws me to comics. Comics is an artform that allows a single person to tell a complete story on their own. No need to wait for anyone else's permission!
